Adapted from Gui Wenya’s writing about childhood, the book gathers roadside discoveries, passing moods, and improvised games into one long walk home.
Artist’s note
I wanted the road to feel remembered rather than documented. Watercolor let the real world and a child’s imagination move in and out of each other, without making childhood look too neat.
